Mahesh Singh Kathayat, Vice President (Internal Affairs)
Mr. Kathayat is Master in Computer Engineering from Tashkent Institute of Technology in 1988. Before joining HMG of Nepal after the completion of higher study he worked at ex. National Computer Center as Hardware Engineer for some time. He also worked for some time as Lecturer at Electronics Department of the Institute of Engineering, TU. Now he is heading Computer Division of Nepal Police. During past 12 years he is continuously working in IT sector as Systems Engineer and Project Coordinator for the development different Application Software in the client server environment with Oracle RDBMS and UNIX operating system for his mother organization. Besides that he is working as consultant to the deferent government and private offices on request bases. -Top

Khusbu Sarkar Shrestha, Vice President (External Affairs)
Mr. Shrestha is the founder and CEO of Nepal Software, a full-service CD-ROM and Web Development company that helps companies produce inspiring, high-impact products and promotional media. Mr Shrestha is Nepal`s pioneering and leading developer of interactive multimedia CD-ROM, having developed more than Rupees fifteen million worth since 1997. Jyoti Tandukar, General Secretary
Mr. Jyoti Tandukar is an Electronic Engineer with ten years of experience in the computer field. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. He has got his Masters degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Wales, UK, with First Class First with Distinction. He has also been honored with the Excellent Achievement Award while he was in Software Training in Japan. He possesses an excellent academic record, including his Board Fifth in S.L.C., with many scholarships, and a diversified professional experience especially in computing, teaching, and publishing. He has been publishing CORExpress, the only native Computer Magazine of Nepal since 1993. His unique software "Galaincha" for carpet designing, editing, graphing, and wool estimating has acclaimed its wide acceptance and appreciation in the industry here and abroad. -Top

Lochan Lal Amatya, Treasurer
Mr. Amatya is Master of Engineering on Electronic Processing Computers. He did his masters degree from Lvov Order of Lenin Polytechnic Institute, USSR. Since 1986 till date he is working in Nepal Telecommunications Corporation (NTC). He is involved in the computerisation activities of NTC from the very beginning. His has involved in in-house development of software systems from Billing, Cash collection, Customer Care functions of NTC. Besides his responsibility on Software development he is heading Computer Networking and Maintenance team. He is currently Acting Manager in the Computer Department of NTC. He is the President of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) for Year 2000-2004. He had worked as National co-ordinator for ITU RAS project for Telecom Software Development. Shashi Bhattarai, Executive Member
Mr. Bhattarai is Engineering Graduate from University of Roorkee, India and Masters of Engineering in Infrastructure Planning and Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Mr. Bhattarai is Chief of Information Technology (IT) Branch at Nepal Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC). He is also engaged as Infrastructure Engineer / Development Decision Analyst at Integrated Consultants Nepal (ICON). Mr. Bhattarai is experienced with wide range of private and public sector project identification, feasibility studies, appraisal, implementation and monitoring activities in Nepal. His fifteen years of experience includes execution of projects supported by international bilateral, multilateral agencies to local consortium of financial institutions. Mr. Bhattarai had received The World Bank Graduate Scholarship award, UNDP fellowship, Performance recognition award and letter of appreciations from NIDC, training award from Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) Japan and Center for International Cooperation Computerization (CICC) Japan and Conference participation grant form Department for International Development (DFID), UK. He is member of International Technical Committee for CONMAT 2003, organized by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and Member of Technical Committee, Nepal Engineers` Association. Bhushan Narshinga Pradhan, Executive Member
Mr. Bhushan Narsingha Pradhan is graduate in Electronics Engineering (B.E.) from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC) India and Masters of Science in Geoinformatics from International Institute of GeoInformaton and Earth Observation, the Netherlands. He is currently working as a Computer Officer at Department of Land Information & Archive that has one of the objectives of development and implementation of nation-wide land information systemin Nepal. Mr. Pradhan is involved in the design and application development of both attribute (text) and spatial (geometry) component, which are two major aspects of cadastre (parcel), based land information system. His experience in the IT field also includes the services he has rendered in the field of computer hardware and networks/internet as a system engineer/consultant. -Top

Mr. Shrestha is Graduate of Computer Science Engineering from Karnataka University, India. He is working in Information Technology (IT) field in Nepal since 1993. He is currently Chairman of Academy of Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. (AIT). He had started his career as a Computer Instructor in private computer training Institute and Computer Teacher/ Consultant for Schools. He was been involved in curriculum development for Diploma in Computer, a three years vocational training course, designed by Center for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and curriculum development for Human Resource Development Program designed by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Currently he is a consultant for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Human Resource Development Program trainings conducted under Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Mr. Shrestha had received training award on Project Management for System Development organized by Center of the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC) in Japan and was honored with the Excellent Achievement Award. Shiv Bhushan Lal, Executive Member
Mr. Lal is Master of Technology in Management and Systems from Center for Management Studies Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and Master of Science in Engineering in Computer Science from Order of Lenin Lvov Polytechnical Institute USSR. He started his professional career as Assistant Executive Engineer in Nepal Telecommunication Corporation in 1982 and become Manager Computer Department in 2002. He is involved in planning, human resource development, computerization activities of NTC and implementation of various telecom projects. Besides his academic study, he had undergone various IT related courses in different part of the world.
